Scattered throughout the world of Hyper Light Drifter for iOS are hidden doors with various numbers of locks. As you progress you pick up the keys for these locks, and you’ll get new weapons, new costumes, consumables and currency. Basically, if all you do is run to the end of a path and beat the boss there, you’re only seeing part of the game.
After completing the North and West paths, I doubled back to the central hub city and stumbled upon a door that needed six keys to open. Unlocking the door uncovers a full-on secret stage, with multiple enemy rush rooms and a new projectile weapon. I also got to fight this expert archer. Check it out!
