Hello and welcome to No Escape‘s coverage of the 2024 Summer of Games. There are 12 showcases spread out over the course of the weekend, starting on Thursday with the Guerrilla Collective Showcase hosted by Media Indie Exchange (MIX). For a complete schedule of events click here.
This year we’re going to practice some actual ~*service journalism*~ and try to give you a breakdown of everything that appeared in a given showcase. This is a challenge primarily because of how big these showcases tend to be (Guerrilla Collective and Publisher Spotlights ran for three hours, for example), so expect a delay on these posts. That said, you should expect them to come out either same-day or next day at the latest (with the exception of the Best Indie Games Showcase from earlier this week).
The Guerrilla Collective Showcase entered its fifth year of operation this year, and to celebrate it brought with it over 90 trailers. So as to not lag my website down into oblivion, I’ll be linking each trailer to its game title instead of embedding video for more than 10 that I especially enjoyed. Enough talk, let’s jump in:
