Look, there was only one showcase yesterday, and it was actually really fucking rad to the point where I don’t think me summarizing it’s gonna go do it justice. It was the Unearthed Treasure Room hosted by Melos Han-Tani (Anodyne, Sephonie, Angeline Era) and Liz Ryerson (unmatched critic, artist/author, musician), it was about 45 minutes long, and it features other game critics and designers talking about why they think their chosen games rule and you should play them. If you want more substance than a shitload of trailers in your summer game showcase event thing, this is it. Go watch it. Right now. Yes, now.
And since I have you here, you should also tune into the Access-Ability Summer Showcase, an annual showcase run by Laura Kate Dale (Podquisition, a bunch of leaks, also many very good books) that highlights various games’ accessibility features and design. That’s airing today at 10:00 AM CT/8:00 AM PT.
Anyway, today’s going to be packed. Catch me live-posting on Bluesky and talking about various and sundry on my discord (if you’re a Patreon supporter, that is). See you back here tomorrow for Day 4’s recap!
